You might have a full-time job which you have to learn around or do not know where to find the nearest teaching centre. Do not feel at a loss as there are many resources to help adults learn English or Spanish. You could visit your local college for group classes or use an independent teacher for private tuition. People come from England to places around the world with the sole intention of teaching English as a second or foreign language. So for those whose national tongue is not English, there are so many ways to learn in your native country. You will even be able to fit the learning around your day job with useful night classes.

In A Classroom
If you are looking to learn English or a different language you do not have to do an ESL course. there are language classes and courses provided by schools, colleges and universities. Being around others who are also trying to master a new language can be useful in finding a solid support or study group. Also, if you learn in a classroom each time you advance on to a higher level you will feel a great sense of pride and accomplishment.

Independent Studying
There are several independent study options available if you cannot find a class at a school or college. You can use audio CDs which can use in the car or as you lie in the bath and these have a number of levels so you can use them to become fluent. If you have irregular times that you can learn the language in then this is a good way. Everything you would learn in a classroom is taught to you but you can learn at your own pace and at a time that suits you.

You can look in news papers and on advertising boards for cheap study groups that help you to learn a foreign language in a casual setting. You can meet in a library or coffee house and help each other with the language you are learning. You could hire someone teaching English as a second or foreign language as a profession if you have the money.
